ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
In November 2019, we launched our eco-citizen activity CleanUp Day in order to clean up our environment and make our populations aware of the dangerousness of waste, and especially plastic. This first phase of the project allowed us to get to grips with the environmental issues in the city of Lokossa, the capital of Mono. Indeed, ecological bins and awareness panels are almost non-existent in our community. This slows down our daily efforts to change mentalities since the day after our activities, the same prohibited habits tend to resurface. To this end, the second phase of the project will consist of mobilizing the necessary funding to put in our communities 100 ecological garbage bins and 50 environmental education panels.
OBJECTIVE OF THE PROJECT
This project aims to contribute to a lasting change in mentalities regarding the cleanliness of our living environments and the maintenance of a healthy environment in our cities in order to make them livable and sustainable communities. This project specifically targets the prevention and reduction of waste.
Thanks to your generous donations, we will impact our communities together through the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 11, 12 and 13. Cash donations will allow us to acquire garbage bins and design panels. We will also communicate via other channels (community radio, social networks, etc.).
You have the possibility to provide us with garbage bins, awareness panels and other useful tools of your choice that can help achieve the objectives of this project; your donation is welcome.
If your donation is not anonymized, we will mention it in our various reports and platforms. The logos of legal persons will be shared in the visuals of the project and on our platforms as a partner structure.
