Coronavirus in Benin: word to 01 YFC volunteer - 03

We can never say it enough: the coronavirus is real and is claiming victims in Benin. Forty deaths and more than 1,700 cases of recovery are not facts to be overlooked. Everyone must play their part so that we regain our freedom of movement soon enough. However, we would have to sacrifice many of our habits to get there. A Youth For Challenge volunteer talks about it.

Word to the volunteer

I am Naomie PONDO, a young Central African volunteer from Youth For Challenge in Benin. Like all the sons and daughters of this country, I too would like to reconnect with the freedom to live without fear of illness. To this end, I would like to invite our populations to avoid the big festive events called “Agoh” in our country. Of many decisions have already been taken in this sense in several cities of the country as in the capital. Let's respect the barrier measures and especially avoid crowds. Thus, we will be able to resume our normal lifestyle soon.
